Visit Nazareth & Sea of Galilee. Archaeological findings indicate that Nazareth was populated already in the Early Canaanite Period. It is first mentioned as a Jewish village in the New Testament, and continued to be so after the destruction of the Second Temple. The city is located in the Lower Galilee, holy to Christians, where Jesus grew to manhood. The Sea of Galilee is important for Christians, since many events and miracles connected with the life and ministry of Jesus took place around the lake.
Depart Tel Aviv via the coastal road and the landscape of the lower Galilee to Nazareth, the town where Jesus spent his childhood. Visit the Basilica of Annunciation and the Church of St. Joseph.
